Why Do I Need a Deep Conditioning Treatment?

It might not seem like something you should prioritize, but it’s important to incorporate a deep conditioning treatment into your beauty regimen. I’ve noticed a huge improvement in my hairs manageability and health since becoming more diligent about staying on top of a hydration or reparative mask once a week.
When you are wanting to grow your hair out to be long, healthy and beautiful, it’s important to stick to a hair care system that promotes hydration and strength. It’s also important to stick to a weekly treatment so that your ends never get the chance to become brittle and split and/or break. Just like you moisturize your face, skin, etc. – you should take the time to amp up the moisture in your hair.

My personal favorites are the Moroccan Oil brand Reparative Mask. You shampoo, leave on for 5-7 min, rinse, follow with a conditioner – easy peasy! The results are controlled frizz, repaired elasticity, and overall better manageability due to the improvement of the hairs texture and health. This is one of those masks that you can you use once a week and lessen the frequency as the hair improves and then switch to something less reparative and more on the lines of hydrating.

Speaking of hydrating, my second favorite go-to was brought into my life by my fellow stylist, Miko. It is by a brand called ICON that I have recently become absolutely obsessed with. The mask is called “Transformational Infusion” and, oh my gosh, you have not lived until you have treated your hair to 60 seconds of this miracle potion. This mask is very concentrated. It only takes 1 minute for the antioxidant and hydrating properties to work their magic rendering your hair full of body and shine.
